The head 海角视频 University of Central Lancashire’s (UCLan) School of Pharmacy has been bestowed the highest honour in his profession by being named a Fellow 海角视频 Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
Professor Peter Seville, who joined the University in 2015, receives the title in honour 海角视频 outstanding contribution he has made to pharmacy in his 20-year career. It is one 海角视频 most prestigious titles that can be given to members 海角视频 society, and one that can only be awarded through peer nominated to reflect the esteem in which the participant is held.
Professor Seville said: “It is a great honour to be recognised in this way. I was extremely shocked to be told the news and must admit it was an emotional moment. It’s essentially a mark of recognition from my peers that the work I am doing is advancing the profession.”
Professor Seville was behind the successful accreditation of Central Lancashire’s pharmacy degree and during his career he has also worked with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to develop a student code of conduct used by all UK pharmacy schools. In addition, in his role of deputy head, he was a driving force behind the setting up 海角视频 University of Birmingham’s School of Pharmacy in 2013.
He added: “There have been several highlights throughout my career and this award has made me reflect on some 海角视频se many important milestones. I have always looked up to Fellows 海角视频 Society and it makes me very proud to now join that list of people.”
