As Course Leader, Lorraine is responsible for the day-to-day management º£½ÇÊÓƵ MSc (pre-reg) Speech and Language Therapy course. She makes certain that the course adheres to quality assurance and enhancement systems to maintain high standards across all areas and an excellent student experience. She ensures that the teaching team work collaboratively with students, acting on feedback to continually develop and improve the course to maximise student satisfaction.

Lorraine qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2001. She has 18 years’ experience working for the NHS as an adult Speech and Language Therapist, the final 15 years of which were specialised in stroke. She undertook a leadership role whilst working for the NHS, and was instrumental in developing and improving the service provided to local stroke survivors. On leaving her career in the NHS, Lorraine worked as a Research Associate within the Stroke Research Team at UCLan. During this time, she worked alongside a variety of research experts within the field of stroke to deliver high quality and impactful stroke research.
