Cheryl Lovell
Cheryl's role at the University of Lancashire focuses on guiding, supporting, monitoring and assessing apprentices through their Social Work qualification. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders is also a key part 海角视频 Apprenticeship Educator role.
Cheryl qualified as a social worker in 2009 and worked with children and families within child protection and fostering settings. Cheryl led on a specialist area of parent and child placements within fostering settings and supported development of staff. This particularly focused on balancing risk management against the independence of parents and ensuring that all standards exceeded the expectations of Ofsted.
Cheryl also has extensive experience in completing fostering assessments and acting as an independent fostering panel member. Cheryl has been a stage 2 Practice Educator since 2014 and has supported students during both their first and final placements on the MA and BA programmes. Cheryl continues to act as an independent practice educator. Cheryl has lectured at other HE settings prior to joining the University of Lancashire.
More recently, Cheryl co-wrote a chapter in a book focusing on reflective practice for social work degree apprentices.
